Get ready for some great music and a good time at the 13th annual Crescent City Blues and Barbeque Festival on October 12-14, 2018 in Lafayette Square Park, 540 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70130. This is one of several festivals sponsored by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival & Foundation, an organization that was founded in 1970 to support and promote the New Orleans’ jazz culture. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that sponsors the Jazz Fest, the Cajun-Zydeco Fest, the Jazz and Heritage Concerts and others. In addition to the music festivals, the Foundation is also involved in education programs such as the Songwriting Workshops for Kids and “Class Got Brass Contests”. The music lineup for this year’s Crescent City Blues and Barbeque Festival features guitarist Jimmy Vaughn, blues singer Shemekia Copeland, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Samantha Fish and many others. In addition to the fabulous music, there will be a large variety of barbeque vendors with some of the best barbeque you can find in New Orleans. Admission is free and open to the public; however, VIP Experience tickets are available.
