Garage doors in Ca. - Does yours have back up battery power
New law requires home owners to install backup battery power for their electric garage doors. This was authored by Senator Bill Dodd and was inspired by the North Bay wildfires
which took the lives of atleast 5 out of 40 people who were trapped inside their garages. Senator Dodd was one of the few who struggled to have his garage door open during the
widespread power outages, good thing, one of his good neighbors came to his aide.
This is such a wonderful news, by raising awareness, there will be more people saved, taking into consideration our seniors whose lives are more at risk in this kind of situation.
