Thirty four Herriman homes were sold and closed in that same time frame.
Thirty nine new contracts were written by Salt Lake Realtors.
Ninety one houses were removed from the homes for sale list.

The total number of distressed homes in Herriman is 73.
Thats over 17% of the total homes listed.
Nineteen of these homes/condos have been added within the last 30 days.
Six homes have sold and closed. (almost 8%)
Seven distressed properties were placed under contract last month.
Sixteen houses were removed from the homes for sale list last month for various reasons.

After a very exciting and dynamic growth spurt over the last few years, Herriman is feeling the Real Estate crunch more than any other community in the Salt Lake Valley.
Herriman leads all other towns in Foreclosures, Bank Owned and short sale homes.
New home construction has not stopped, so we expect this situation to continue. it is expected that the absorption rate which is currently over 11 months will rise monthly for the next year.
The good news is two fold, one, there are some real opportunities for the real investors in Herriman, with more cropping up every day. Secondly, the city planners, banks and developers will have the time and motivation to encourage development of houses and condominiums at a price point that appeals to a broader segment of the market. IE: Condominiums, and P.U.Ds with starter homes for first time home buyers.
