Smoking Santa pipe politically incorrect now

Santa is Smokin'!

In more than one way.  He is wide-eyed and ready to jump in the sleigh.....PLUS.....he is smoking a pipe!  I collect Santas in a small way and got this one from an estate sale a few days ago.  I didn't think much about what he was doing but once I put him in the herd, he stood out in the second way.  HE IS SMOKING A PIPE!

Now many years ago, that would have been fine but in today's world, Santa would never smoke!  He is now politically incorrect!  Little kids could be influenced by our jolly-good-fellow's smoking.  

Should I dump him or keep him?

Hello Barbara - my vote is "keep him".  Politically correct or not.

Sheila, he is different.  Actually he is a little mean looking.  I also noticed that most Santas don't have their eyes wide open....

Isn't that funny.  I don't think we even considered whether Santa's pipe smoking was a problem when we were kids!

His merry red cheeks probably mean he drank a little too much before he set out.....his round, jelly belly probably means he eats too much and not the right foods, like plant based! He probably should be wearing a mask, because of all the soot he will and has inhaled...That pipe stump probaby didn't have a filter...and therefore no telling the condition of his lungs. Shall I go on? I vote " keep him.

Anita, I loved that!  You are right!  With so much obesity we should not have an overweight Santa and we definitely should not be teaching our kids that it is all right to slide down chimneys!  Perhaps a vote should be taken to....to....change him?

James, I guess I will keep him.  If you are willing to come to Searcy to get a politically incorrect Santa, he has to be worth money in the future!  LOL
