What a week!! It was great meeting a few of the Active Rain RE/MAX group at our little get together at Champs inside the Marriott. We really got to know a couple of Agents from other parts of the country and have really developed a potential referral magnet for one another.
The drive down was uneventful until our GPS went down about 6 blocks from the Hotel and we drove around in circles for about an hour but we got there. Our room was awesome! Located on the 18th floor overlooking the Atlanta City building was really nice to look at.
Opening session with the announcement of RE/MAX University was exciting. Listening to Tracy Bryd. The gospel group was unreal. I really was emotionally effected by the CMN Speaker. We continue to support CMN at every closing. I was thinking positive all week about winning the car but no luck this year.
Laurie and I went to numerous classes and round-table discussions all week but by far the one we got most excited about was the Sentials for Freedom. We decided to really commit to this new program and have signed on to help disabled military vets returning here to St. Louis and plan on going to Dave's house in April for advanced training. If you didn't get to attend this event make sure you look in Mainstreet to get the info.
Wednesday night with the Doobie Brothers and The Go-Go's was ok but it went by way too fast. The food was really good and the cocktails very refreshing.
For those that did not attend I strongly suggest you start planning for next years 35th anniversary convention next year in Las Vegas. I'm sure it will be awesome. Start walking today because you will walk miles and miles at the MGM Grand. We put 10% of each closing into a fund that our broker matches if we go to convention. Hopefully throughout the upcoming year those of you that attended will put into action some of the things you learned. Also I am going to start sending out my reminders of referral magnets to each agent I got a business card from, I must have a hundred.
Let's all make a real effort to promote next years convention and have a get together next year.
