Website Feedback

By
Real Estate Agent with John L Scott 101596

I recently posted a blog asking for advice about which web hosting company to use. I research all of the suggestions and decided onrealtysoft.com. I value the feedback form Active Rain members and would love input on my website, and search engine optimization.  Feel free to take a look at the preliminary version of my site and offer suggestion for making it more valuable for my customers and easier for them to find. I would also ove to see links to other members websites. My new site is www.mynwhomes.com

Thank you all, I love your input!

Ann, pretty cool! Just one thing that I have read about while learning SEO and I am by no means an expert so please ask someone - but I have always been told that a "flash" intro can work against you. I turned mine off when I read this here at AR. Does your site have an area for you to "tweak" your tags and key words? Can you "tweak" the titles to your pages? Those are items that I have found  useful.

Nice clean look. I too wondered about the SEO potential when I saw the design. I used to have a site from another company that looked similar and I was limited in what I could do.

Best of luck to you.

Ann, that looks great. I had not heard of them before, now comes the fun part, keeping it updated and with good content. You have a great mentor, so I'm sure your head is about to explode.

Ann, welcome aboard. I see that you are using our website solution and just wanted to stop by and answer a few questions in regards to SEO:

1. All RealtySoft websites are fully customizable so you can remove the flash intro and tweak the meta tags. Search Engines used to be very picky about flash intros but that is no longer the case, also we create a sitemap.xml file for all of our websites and that allows the search engines to easily spider through your website and index all your pages.

2. Although flash intros are not going to have any impact on your SEO efforts but they might have an impact on your "Bounce Rate". Bounce Rate is a term used in website traffice analysis. It essentially represents the average percentage of initial visitors to a site who "bounce" away to a different site, rather than continue on to other pages within the same site.

I hope this helps, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
