For me, one of the "givens" is a fireplace.  I don't know about you, but every single holiday commercial I see has a family gathered near a fireplace--gas or wood burning, and it doesn't matter if they're selling you a computer or an LL Bean moccasin, but from mid-November on, you see a lot of fireplaces!  It's a personal choice for many (gas or wood burning--I've had both and I think both have great pros and cons)--do you love that wood burning smell, or enjoy the ease of flipping a switch?  All of the homes we are featuring today have at least one (or more) fireplaces.
