Hello all,

We have some exciting opportunities coming up and would love to share them with you. The American Heart Association along with Chef James Warner, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, will be getting a head start on celebrating American Heart Month. They’re offering a virtual cooking demo on Thursday, January 28th at 4:30PM. You’ll be preparing Mediterranean Chicken Meatball and Raosted Spaghetti Squash with Marinara as well as getting heart health tips and a stretch break. You may view the event flyer here.

We’ll be celebrating American Heart Month with our Strong @ Heart Email Wellness Challenge. You’ll receive two email messages weekly beginning on February 1st and ending March 14th. You’ll learn how to improve your heart health. Topics will include prevention, sleep, gratitude, foods, fats, sodium, dining out, activity, and laughter. You may join the challenge by clicking here.

Next up is an opportunity to join us for a discussion of the book Stamped: Racism, Anti-racism and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. We are reading this book as part of Central Ohio's Largest Book Club: Let’s Talk About Race: One Book – One Community hosted by Columbus Metropolitan Library and eight other central Ohio libraries. You can learn more about the book club and associated events at columbuslibrary.org/one-book. We encourage you to participate in the virtual community book discussions and virtual author talk that are part of the event, as well as invite you to participate in a virtual discussion of the book that will be held via Zoom with our staff on January 28 at 12PM and 6PM. You may register for the event at go.osu.edu/stamped. Please register by 11:59PM on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Calling all adults 60+ for a webinar series titled, Incorporating the 7 Dimensions of Wellness into Daily Life. Youth in grades 6 – 8 are invited to join us on Mondays starting January 25th – March 15th for a Polar Mystery 4-H SPIN Club. A polar scientist has gone missing and no one can find her.
