WHAT THE SELLER LOVES
When we first saw our home, we fell in love with the brick cottage style and the charm inside the house. The yard was terrible but there was space to work on it and its finally complete! The idea of having 4 bedrooms was perfect for starting a family and the unfinished open basement allowed us to add extra space over time. We love all the Catonsville charm in this historic old home with beautiful crown molding and large rooms.
Our kitchen which we designed and helped build turned out perfectly for cooking, family and entertainin! It opens nicely into the dining room while also being able to see kids and guests in the living room, such a perfect open concept for entertaining guests. There is a lot of morning light that comes in the kitchen and afternoon light in the living room. The backyard is a great space for entertaining, especially during COVID.
The backyard has been custom designed with kids in mind and playground mulched area is the perfect size for kids to play. Raised beds are in an ideal sunny spot and they get both morning and afternoon sun. The rest of the backyard is shady in the morning and early afternoon which keeps it nice a cool even in the summer heat. The new basement bathroom is accessible through the outdoor steps - perfect for guests to access without walking thru the house.
The basement has been completely renovated over time with a custom wall built from Baltimore reclaimed wood. The basement laundry is very spacious as is the living space which is super flexible. I love the upstairs bedrooms for kid’s rooms! They are a fun and unusual layout and are perfect spaces for kids to enjoy.

CATONSVILLE COMMUNITY
Our neighborhood is family friendly. There are multiple events throughout the year like a block party, dumpster day, yard sale day, etc. Neighbors are ready to help when needed and very friendly. Lots of kids riding bikes and playing together. The park down the street is great for taking kids to the playground and walking dogs.
Opies is walking distance just down the street for the best soft serve in town! The Catonsville 4th of July parade and fireworks are the hit of the summer! Some of our favorite restaurants in the area are ..Umami, Eatini, Hunan Joy , Honey Pig, Mint Room. The grocery stores we use the most are Wegmans in Columbia and Sprouts.
We moved to Catonsville because...of the location. Its a fun family friendly area, close to downtown but still has a safe neighborhood feel. We love the access to old Ellicott city and Patapsco State Park.
