Day light saving time and Spring brings out the Buyers in New Orleans

The past two weeks have been extremely busy for myself and Jack. It is a combination of working hard in the prior months when business was weak. Then it boomed two weeks ago as Spring and Mardi Gras was over. Its hard to work a couple of months with a couple of sales. You show and people are not ready. You e-mail and the clients do not react, you talk and they listen but no contracts. Then you get 7-8 contracts in 2 weeks and all your time is quickly eaten up. You have more calls than you can handle. You work 12 hours a day and get them all to bed, inspected, and the problems ironed out. You always wonder why the business could not be spread out. It is this way every year except the Katrina Year which was completely busy for 8-9 months with sales dropping in your lap. Glad to get back to something that is predictiable . The great weather gets people out and in a good mood. The second home buyers are starting to return to scoop up some of the bargains. New transfering are calling for advice. I can predict a very busy season for the New Orleans Market as people are finally making decisions in a Post Katrina world. This Katrina period has been a focus of our lives for 18 months, something normal is welcome. New Orleans is coming back with plenty of tourist in the next couple of months. Jazz Fest is coming. The NCAA games are here this next week. Crawfish season is upon us. Conventions are back. The grass is growing again. The Saints led the way so if you want to come on down now is the time.
