If you follow our blog, you know that Ellison Bay is near and dear to my heart. I have Ellison Bay memories and traditions going back to my childhood, and Ellison Bay is home to some of my very favorite Door County businesses, including Wickman House, Kick Ash Coffee, Hugel House and Island Orchard Cider. Ellison Bay also features one of the best "unknown" parks to watch a sunset over Green Bay, Wills Park next to the Ellison Bay Marina.
We're coming up to Ellison Bay's big season, because just north of Ellison Bay is the ICONIC Door County drive to Northport that has been featured as one of the best leaf-touring drives in the entire United States. If you haven't tried the twisting, turning Highway 42 drive to the Ferry Dock in Northport and back from Ellison Bay, then you're in for a treat this autumn for sure.

Northern Door County and Ellison Bay is a great place to live, work or play. If you are visiting Door County this autumn, be sure to take a drive to Ellison Bay, where you will not only have the iconic drive to Northport on Highway 42, but also one of the best autumn color bluff views available to the public on the Ellison Bay hill. You can also visit Door Bluff Park and Ellison Bay Bluff Park which are also ideal spots for taking a drive and enjoying nature's own fireworks display on our trees in September, October and early November.
