Good morning Joe,
I’m glad I save all my old emails! This made it easier to find you again. I Hope all is well with you and your family.
Dave and I are currently having a financial advisor review all of our retirement accounts etc. as we aren’t getting any younger!
The last piece we believe it makes sense to review is our current mortgage. We have been at our present home for 3 years and our current loan rate is over 4%. We will likely be here at least 7 more years. Our current loan balance is 226k. We estimate the current value somewhere between 300-314k. 15-20 year term would mostly likely make sense for us. Let us know what you need for documents.
Reducing the number years would save them a boat load of money on interest and the monthly mortgage payment would not change dramatically.
If you know anyone that still has an interest rate of 4% or higher, refinancing would save them a boat loan of money as well!
