With the winter Olympics, it's hard not to be inspired by the incredible athleticism of our Olympians like figure skater Mariah Bell. Why not get in on the fun yourself? The Ice Centre in Westminster has public sessions, and rents skates, so you and your friends and family can all enjoy the winter tradition of gliding along—it's a surprisingly great workout! If you or your little ones want to pick it up as a regular hobby, the local skating club offers group and private lessons for beginners. (Fun fact, aforementioned olympian Mariah Bell trained at this ice arena when she was younger!) |
