On December 27, 2022, The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that the U.S. house price unchanged 0.0% in October of 2022 from September of 2022, but gained 9.8% from October of 2021 based on home sales values obtained from mortgages sold to or guaranteed by FNMA and Freddie Mac.
Nationwide, among nine census New England Division was highest with a rose of 1.4%, and Pacific Division had lowest with a loss of 0.9% in October of 2022 from September of 2022; while South Atlantic Division was the highest with jump of 14.1%, and West Pacific Division was lowest with an increase of 4.5% in October of 2022, from October of 2021.
