Brick is a beautiful siding material. It's durable, maintenance free and it doesn't lie. With zero flexibility, if something is out of whack, the brick will tell you. So what do we have here?
What we have is something that's very common, a lintel that is sagging. Across that garage door opening, window or any opening with brick above it, a lintel is used to support the weight of the brick. Over time, that weight can cause the lintel to sag.
This brick isn't structural, it resets on its own brick ledge and serves as the siding veneer. This short video illustrates this common issue and how to spot areas that have been repaired. The full post on "Why Did This Brick Crack" can be seen by hitting that link.
