Well our family ate our way through NYC. We ate every type of food we could (Pizza John's and Lombardi's), Chinese in China Town, Junior's Cheese Cake, and Little Italy and Ferrara's for dessert.
We also looked at Co-op's for purchase (we are looking for a small vacation investment). We looked with a very nice agent who showed us around (he was new but helpful). We found a small co-op in the Murray Hill area near Park Ave we liked so we asked the agent who was assisting us to try to make an appointment. He called to let us know the agent representing the seller was not not cooperating and would not make an appointment for us. He went so far as to give us his phone number and told us to call him directly.
We called the agent and made an appointment to see the property (I do not know how this agent feels he is working in the seller's best interest by not allowing showings) without our agent because it was the only way we were going to be able to see it. We arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule...and waited. When he did not show on time we called his mobile...and we called it again when he was 1/2 hour late. We finally decided he was not going to show at all so we left. It was our last day in NYC and we could not reschedule.
I sent off an e-mail to his broker and the owner of his company. I wonder if the seller realizes what bad service he is getting?
It must be hard to find a great Realtor in NYC...it seems that many agents want both sides of a transaction even if it is not in their clients best interest.
