RE/MAX Connection lost in Fire

As I was driving to an appointment this morning, I found myself delayed in traffic. I allowed extra time for myself, but not for a traffic delay due to a fire on Rt. 3 in between West Chester & Newtown Square, PA.

I heard on the radio there was a fire. "Deep breath, Kim. There isn't anything you can do, and hopefully no one was hurt." I told myself.

As I approached the scene there were many firetrucks and response teams. I looked over, THE RE/MAX CONNECTION OFFICE!  What? Burned to barely some bits of the walls around the office of the shopping/strip center.

My heart was compassionate before knowing who/what happened after I heard it was a fire. But then, it was a Real Estate Office!  It was a RE/MAX office!  Oh dear!  I remembered the compassion and comaraderie shown when Melissa Grant had her brush with a fire in the family home around Christmas time. I know its a little bit different because we "knew" Melissa.

The documents, the pictures on desks, the files, the computers, the memories.....

I'm not sure what you can do... right now, I'm only aware that you can pray, send good vibes, thoughts their way. People were affected.

Something like this makes you step back from life for a moment..... be thankful. I'm grateful for being shown to keep my priorities right today.

It wasn't my office, but very close proximity. My office is on the same street, about 5 miles away actually.

Kim, very sorry to hear about that office. We had a RE/MAX office in Highland Village, TX get struck by lightning three times and almost burn to the ground. It came back stronger being newly rebuilt so in the long term sometimes these things turn out for the best.

Oh my... I can't imagine losing my personal computer, supplies and files.  Of course, the important thing is everyone's safety.  I just looked on RE/MAX Mainstreet, thinking there might be some more details, but nothing was there.

Thats really something to think about.  It could have been any of our offices.  I have files and things like that in the office that I probably wouldnt be able to duplicate.  I usually leave my laptop here too.  That would be bad.  I will definitely pray for them.

Kim,

I am so very sorry to hear this. Is there anything I can do ? Please let me know ? I would be happy to help in any manner that I can ? I know how it feels. It's a feeling of violation and I am so sorry that it happened. I will keep everyone in my prayers and again, please let me know if there is anything at all I can do !!!!!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I did hear from one of the agents that no one was hurt!!!! So that is important. They are all struggling with healing, it is a loss.

Margaret, I looked on RE/MAX.net as well, it wasn't there :(  It was a very, very small office, but every one counts!!!!
