This entry will highlight one of mine and my family's favorite places to eat in Brawley CA. Whether you're a local, here on business, are simply visiting or just passing through, it's my goal to provide you with an idea of great local places to eat no matter what your taste buds crave.
Are you ready for tasty Panini's sandwhiches, fresh salads, and delicious soups? How about a refreshing fruit smoothy or a blended iced mocha? After eating you can treat yourself to their home made like pastries, famous cookies and desserts which are all sure to please.
The Rock Coffee Shop & Cafe' is located at 132 S Plaza St in downtown Brawley, just south of Main Street.
There is a great ambiance once you step inside The Rock Coffee Shop & Cafe' with its large picture windows and high ceilings, the dining area has a variety of table heights suitable for power meetings to a romantic lunch. Wi-Fi (wireless internet) is available so you can sip your coffee while taking care of things online. In addition to tables, there's a seating area with couches and comfy chairs in a living room atmosphere and The Rock is kid friendly with a play area and games for children of all ages to play.
It's open early morning for breakfast pastries and fresh coffee ground daily. Lunch is a treat with a variety of menu items that are also suitable as an early dinner.
The Rock Coffee Shop signature name and inspiration comes from a passage found in the New Testament of the Bible in the Book of Matthew 7:24-25 and reads 24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
With special summer hours, they're open Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 3:00pm and Saturday from 7:00am to Noon, they are closed on Sunday. During the regular season, they are open unitl 7:00pm and have a variety of entertainment on Friday evenings. You can reach them at 760-351-8636 and directions are on the map below. To the west of The Rock is the Brawley Public Library and City Hall offices which are directly across the street. Slightly to the east is Brawley Auto & Accessories which features a hand car wash and automotive detail jobs so you can get your vehicle cleaned while you wait and eat at The Rock. Further south is the Brawley Chamber of Commerce.
