Fire Dangers

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

Summertime is the traditional time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.  Here in Cedar City we are situation next to some of the most beautiful mountains imaginable.  Of course that is just our humble opinion.  I just want to add my voice to the throngs of other voices in wishing everyone that chooses to enjoy the outdoors to do so responsibly!

That means watching your fire use.  We have all seen the devastation in California and other places due to fires that have burned out of control.  Currently we are so dry that the Forest Service has relegated fires into approved fire pits only.  Even if you are using an approved fire pit make sure that you are safe.  Keep a bucket of water or dirt nearby to throw on any fire that might start to get away.  Make sure that your fire is cold to the touch before leaving it unattended.  No one wants anyone else to suffer through a wildfire that could have been prevented.  Be safe, but just as importantly, be responsible!  Have a great weekend!

Hello Tony,

Nice blog.  Cedar city is a wonderful place to visit.  My inlaws lived in Mesquite for many years.  Not the same.  But not far away.  Take care.

Hi Tony & Darcy,
Thanks for commenting on my first blog post.  I love your area and have left many a blue streak on the slopes up there.

As an insurance agent, I really appreciate any article on fire safety.  Keep up the good work!

Great posting and advice.  It's certainly timely in light of what we've experienced here in California lately.

It's not a game, it's your life.

That's a really informative reminder to those living in your community as well as others.  You may want to add "Cedar City" into the title of the post so you can reach more people as this is valuable information.

Tony and Darcy,

I go to Cedar City, UT quite often because one of my best friends from Oklahoma has a son that goes to the University in Cedar City, UT.

And I also do a lot of camping and it is very important to watch your camp fires, etc.

 Great post,

 Robert
