Dixie Bones - On The Village Green at Belmont Bay

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

Dixie Bones, the home of good Southern cooking and Barbeque is taking all that goodeness to the OCCOQUAN RIVER FESTIVAL.

They'll be at the Village Green in Belmont Bay from 11:30 AM until 3:30 PM on Sunday, July 27,2008.  Their delicious barbeque and fixins' will be for sale.  Additionally, while you are enjoying the goodies, you can listen to the musicians that will perform from 1:00 to 5:00 PM the same day.  That has all the ingredients for a relaxing afternoon event - be prepared to enjoy yourself.

We locals know their food is prepared fresh on a daily basis.  They make real pit barbeque using hickory wood for smoking.  Cooks cut potatoes for the potato salad, slice cabbage for the cole slaw and pick collards for the greens.  Every morning the bakers prepare the pies, cobblers, brownies and bread pudding as well as make the dough for the rolls.

They offer full service catering and have carryout PartyPaks as well as family style carryout.  The restaurant is located at 13440 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge 22191.   Telephone is 703-491-2205.  Except for the Osprey's Landing Restaurant it is the closes restaurant to Belmont Bay.

Karen, I love those little home town restaurants like that.  It sounds like a fun time.
