Slower market sure. We have had a campaign on the island talking for over a year about the time to buy is now. As a newbie but an economics major, I had a difficult time embracing this. Today I had a call from a potential client inquiring about the island etc. DUring our conversation it came to me: the time to buy is when our clients are ready. We need to remember why we are in this and if we are in it to push the product to fill our pockets, then its time to move to another industry. May I suggest technology and health care. For those still with this industry, lets remember that we are providing a service for our clients and not our pockets. God bless America and have a great day! If I offended anyone with my thoughts, please lets dialogue.
Yes, that may be true, but we also owe our clients the explanation of the reality of their current situation. No tax benefits, possibly higher rates, and how much longer they could have to wait for a home that isn't a fixer or a short sale.. Depends on the clients situation
My son was lucky enough to get a job in healthcare, he just loves it and the future is bright. I, on the other hand am sticking to Real Estate and while slower than in past times, it still gives me lots of pleasure when it all comes together. I love finding a great home for a buyer, but right now nothing makes me as happy as getting an offer for a seller. They really are the ones suffering.
Why would someone contact you if they are not ready? Or id I misunderstand your blog? Thanks, Veronica
