ZipForms Online FRUSTRATION!!!

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Austin, Austin Texas Real Estate 0396717

I got up an hour and a half ago to make a couple of changes on two offers and write up a new contract to present later today. I have tried to access my ZipForms Online Transaction list and it is no where to be found. I enter my user name and password and a blank page opens with no options to do anything. I went to support and somehow found a couple of posts that "support is unavailable at this time"... Worse I can email support but will not receive an answer for 24 hours!

*OUCH*

Is anyone else having this problem???

Like many Realtors  I have used ZipForms for creating contracts, addendums, notices, etc. for a long time however, I stopped using the desktop version so that I could access my contracts and listing agreements from my laptop form anywhere I could get an internet connection. I rarely have any problems accessing my transactions but this morning they are "LOST IN THE ETHER". I will have to write this out by hand (a scary prospect as my handwriting is not the most elegant or even legible).

OK, having put it out there, I am feeling better already. I am going for a morning run at Town Lake (now Lady Bird Lake) and will certainly feel better after that!

If anyone has suggestions please let me know! THANKS!

I have been trying for hours and cannot get into zip forms. I used it yesterday. I put in my user name and password and get a page that says loading and stops right there. Please help somebody...

Terry, It is just one of the things we have to deal with in technology! I have learned to NOT wait until the last minute to begin any online paperwork!

Are you having problems today?  None of my fellow realtors in Northern Virginia nor I can access zipforms at all today.  The website is simply not available.

Mary & Bob I hear you and when I wrote this post was extremely frustrated. I will say that sinec then things are measureably better and usually it's retuned in a relatively short period of time!

Hang in there!

Something that has been annoying me lately is that I cannot use my autopop scrolldown (for my name, phone, license number, broker name, etc).  A little pop up will say "forms viewer has stopped working and will shut down now."

And I scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the screen, literally.  My dogs must think I am nuts.  I save every single little page as I create it now.

Renee, I am with you on saving my data. Zipforms is a great tool but sometimes (when least expected) it can be buggy. I will say that since I wrote this post it has improved and I really like the online version much better than desk top so I can access it anywhere!

If I had to pay for this program, I would cancel it and ask for my money back

When I wrote this post, I felt the same way but since there have been a few improvements in the online version, I have had less problems. I STILL save my data while entering to avoid any mishaps!

This program drives me crazy! Every time I try to use it something goes wrong! Today I can not even sign in. And I DO pay for the priviledge!!

David, it's been awhile since I have had any major problems with ZipForms, the online version has improved over the years. Try contacting support, that has improved too!

Thanks, Russell. Apparently they were having trouble with their server today, and it finally did resolve. I usually have to uninstall and reinstall Java every time I try to use Zip Forms.

David, glad to hear it. Zipforms has improved quite a bit lately and I am glad to have the opportunity to use the resource!

Just a question on using zipforms. As a brand new realtor, i am muddling my way thru the learning curve. As such i signed up to use zipforms, but am perplexed how to get a initialed signed copy of the paperwork to the client? I could either make multiuple copies and use carbon paper( if thats still on the market?), or I have heard of carbonless apper that you can print on( expensive), or my last thought was to just scan the signed documents and email them to the client.(that would enatil buying a portable scanner). In california, you have to give the client a copy of the signed paperwork upon completion.... How has this been handled?

John, I email a copy to my client first where they print, sign, scan and email back to me. However, I am now beginning to use Docusign which is a new program that allows for signing online. Yes it's a new technology but worth checking out in conjunction with Zipforms!

John, I do the same as Russell; email the form from Zipforms to the customer, they print it and sign it, then fax or email back to me. I have signed forms that use Docusign, but have not yet used the program myself. Signing online is pretty neat! I don't know what is involved. We'll have to defer to Russell for that information. :-)

I am just learning Docusign, it's available to all Realtors in the Austin, Texas area so it's easier to learn when everyone is on board. I think it's going to save a lot of time and paper in the future!
