- Hawaii has the most moderate climate of any state
- Hawaii has some of the best beaches on the planet
- The state motto is: Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono (The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness)
- Hawaii is the last state to join the union in 1959.
