Arvest had it's big auction Saturday. 176 properties were on the Block. There were 5 properties with no reserve but the auctioneer was not allowed to tell which 5 they were.(very clever trick) Over 600 people showed up and the bidding was good. We won't know how successful the bank was until each high bidder is notified if their bid met the reserve. The auctioneers wre from United Country/Block Auctions. Paul Covin, the main caller, did a very good job.
A little news from Beaver Lake. The water is still very high for this time of year. The cut through at Wildflower Point is passable with 9 feet of water. A pontoon boat with the top up still could not get under the Hwy. 12 bridge.
