Over a year ago I set up an "Online Chat" system for a real estate web site. My client was paying for Google Adwords, getting great traffic and not the conversion he was looking for.
We checked the stats, people were staying on his site from 3 minutes to a half hour or more in most cases, but yet not seeing the inquiries.
So we tried a paid for solution that allowed us to have an "Online Chat" window that allowed visitors the ability to talk with him or a staff member real time any day of the week.
When you think about it, your visitors come in to your web site from many different access points, look at (hopefully) several pages that interest them, spending more time on certain pages than others becuase of their level of interst and before you know it, THEIR GONE!
You are hoping that they bookmarked your site, or emailed you for more information...
But what if you could actually engage them while they were still looking at information within your site, fore armed, knowing what they have been looking at so that you could make a couple of other suggestions?
It did work for him (my client) but the expense to install and monthly support fees became a bit much.
Well, about ten months ago I found a FREE "Online Chat" service that I have used since then. It provides the same features but its FREE and you can add it to your site very simply.
