Lynden's biggest event every year is the Northwest Washington Fair. This years it will be taking place August 11 through August 16. Otherwise known as Lynden Fair, it began almost a century ago. The fair is billed as a social gathering place where family values will be honored and individuals of all ages will be entertained and a place to showcase Whatcom County's agricultural heritage and give our youth some hands-on experience in the world of agriculture.
Every day of the week the usual exhibits are there along with the highlight of the day, most of which are the evening concerts.
Horse shows on the highlight of that of every other afternoon and most evenings at 6 p.m.
The 8 p.m. concerts start on Tuesday with Randy Travis.
Little Big Town is the headliner for Wednesday night.
Chicago is the headliner for Thursday night.
The News Boys are the main event on Friday night.
At 6 p.m. on Saturday night it's The Monster Truck Show
