James River Fishing

On 8/25/o8, this past Monday, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. What does that have to do with Fishing on the James River in beautiful Botetourt County? Well besides the beauty of my wife, she agreed to spend the day floating from Eagle Rock on down the river with me. Just the 2 of us alone all day. It wasn't a classic romantic event, it was better. We enjoyed each other's company without interuption for 12 hours. In a whole day the only other soul we saw was a train conductor who blew his whistle and waved as we grilled sausages for lunch on the river bank. In spite of the rain that hit us lightly towards the end of the trip, it was a pleasant and memorable day- oh and the fishing was pretty good too!
