Adding Backgrounds to Blog??

By
Title Insurance with Stewart Title of California

As I have been working on my blogging and posting skills, I noticed some cool blog backgrounds and effects. How can I put a border around my page or add a picture or two? Also, can I add a personalized signature to the end of my response? I know that if I ask, the answer will come.

Scott, I have been wondering the same thing.  I have subscribed to your blog so that I will have the answer.  How is RE in Simi Valley?

Get used to using the "search" tab at the top of the page in order to search for any topic on ActiveRain.  Just about anything that you might have a question about, someone here has written a post about it.  The search function makes it easy to retrieve them.

The answers are right here in The Rain- I'm in a hurry to get out of the office. Dakno Customizer is the tool to use for the background. There are many tricks and software programs that are being used by AR members.

Hi Scott

I resumed blogging on AR recently, and also wondered about that.   Tim's right - check out Brad's blog - he has lots of educational stuff.  Also, visit AR Customizer.

I think I figured out how to do it.

Go to the help site listed above-

Download all the information you want.

It creates a computer phrase, which you add in your settings ...and it works!

I think!

You have to learn how to code in html or get used to going back and forth with a wysiwyg editor.

Learn how to put links into the pictures etc. I set up a file called my blog footer that is my signature and within that has a prewritten set of code that I can just copy and paste now.

It isnt that simple but it isnt that hard either it just has a learning curve and you have to get over its hump!

Scott there are some really neat things out there....just don't go overboard as it can sometimes take too long to load the page. And as Tim said you can find almost anything with that search tab....good luck!

You can actually see in my blog posts where I learned how to do it better and better. I am going back and redoing them with it in there.

Scott - I see that you already received the tutorial for the blog generator.  If that doesn't help search for the posts on here by Brad Carroll for blog generator.  For signatures you can go to MyLiveSignature.com - that is where you can create a sig.

As far as customizing, if you don't know or understand Brad's tutorial, feel free to call me 10A-11P EDT any day, I can walk you through it.  As far as 'signature' it would be much easier to explain on the phone.  Call me, and I can get you through that as well.
