Google is the dominant search engine today -- yes you also hear about Yahoo and of course you have the America Online and MSN

But there are other search engines if your not having any luck finding what your looking for.

Ask.com  is still a user friendly search site to ask a question.  Used to be call Ask Jeeves.

DogpileI recommend Dogpileis a search site that looks at all of them all at one time.  I frequently use this when I am having to do difficult searches for information -- lets see what all the search engines have indexed into their systems.  This search site presents results from Google, Yahoo, MSN Live Search and ASK all at once.

And lastly, when searching for a phrase or even a name -- put the name in "Quotes".  For example, searching for Scott Hoen gives me Scott results, gives me Hoen results and gives me Scott Hoen results.  If you want just the exact phrase or name -- search for the name in quotes --"Scott Hoen"dogpile
