There isn't just one Twitter, you know!
(This one needs a home... Chester County Area?)
Just after our Family Fantasty Football League Draft Night, in the pouring rain, we arrived home to "that sound" in the backyard. You know the sound...the loud cry for help from a cat. LittleOne5 was sleeping, so we got her all tucked in.
It was simple, Husband went outside to take care of the cat. Go "shoooo" it (or them?), tell it to go home. My job? I was still talking on Twitter, so I jumped on the computer for a bit before sleeptime.
"You need to come outside", He says.
"No. I'm not coming" I know better.
"Really, you have to see this"
"Husband! If I come out there, I know what's going to happen. Please"
"Please come."
The whole time I'm walking outside I'm saying, I don't want a cat. I can't do this. Hair. Litterbox. Enough said. I don't want a c-- uh oh.
Cowered in the corner by our recycle bins. Meowing for some love. Scared. He says to me, "Please. I don't know what to do. I don't know where I'm supposed to live. Can you help me? Please?"
You know the rest of the story... whisked inside, he/she lapped up the water, ate some wetted dog food, and I jumped on Twitter to say "What the heck do I do with a kitten?" and "Cute Kitten needs home. I'll deliver".
I really didn't know what to do with the kitten. My twitterbuds came to the rescue and helped out - it's amazing what @Twitter can do - but that's another blog.
We are loving her already. I think Paris, the cockapoo is the one really attached. There is no question that she/he will stay with us if we can not find a home for him/her (took off out of state - vet visit upon return). Sarah Cooper and my mother say, "You need to keep the cat. He found you." We are still trying to find a home. Until then (if then), our family has increased.
For now, he/she is named Twitter. But she knows its temporary.....
