Department of Labor unemployment statistics

The US Department of labor tracks the unemployment rates for different Metropolitan Areas here .

The average unemployment rate for July 2008 for the entire USA was 6.0%. I guess we should be thankful since our European counterparts go over 10%. The 6.0% is still high but I doubt though that it represents the true picture since underemployed and part-timers may not be included.

We should be creating meaningful opportunities for young people to educate themselves and retrain in order to productively participate in the Gross Domestic product. Sectors such as "Information Technology", "Environment preservation", "Energy production", "Health" and others need to be manned U.S.A. with visionary and skillful leaders and workers.

Everything starts at the core "The Family" when kids are taught to SAVE and NOT spend amongst other values.
