Today I took the initiative and called some past clients whom I sold real estate to within the past few years. One of my clients was very happy to hear my voice and we spoke for almost half an hour. We got cought up with what each of us were doing in our lives. It turns out that he is starting a new business in McKinleyville, a new skateboard shop with clothing and skateboards. I congratulated him on that and wished him luck in his new business.
Then the more we talked, he started asking me about any potential deals and new listings that he would be interested in. I pulled up some properties in McKinleyville (I had sold him a house earlier this year in McKinleyville) and found a 2 acres property that he was interested in. I set up the appointment and we saw the property this evening.
We walked the grounds of the property and ventured inside the small fixer-upper house on the property. The structure of the house itself was not in great condition, but my client has an eye for potential in properties and he only saw potential and possibilities in this property. Earlier this year, I had sold him a property that was run down and practically abandoned by its owners because of divorce and he was able to see past the trash and various damage to the house. Now that property is in great condition and on its way to becoming a good home again.
So my client decided that he would like to make an offer on the property and I am to inquire the listing agent for more details tomorrow. I can not wait to get going on this deal. Take the initiative and stay productive.
