Went to a closing today. I was on the sellers side, who had already moved out of state. The buyer arrived. He was alone, which is a little unusual. Most of the time, the buyer and their agent arrive at the same time, since they usually do a walk through, just before coming to the closing.
I introduced myself. We exchanged some pleasantries. As we were waiting for his agent to arrive, I asked him if he had done a walk through. His response was No, should I have? A little surprised, I said, well, it's usually customary to do one, but it's up to you.
The agent arrives. The buyer turns to the agent and asks if they should do a walk through. The agent asks if he wants to do one and he said maybe we should. So, the buyer and his agent leave the closing table to go do a walk through. This was not a brand new agent. So, there I am, with the closing agent, and the lender, waiting, while they go do a walk through. Luckily, the house was not that far away and there was not another closing after ours.
Unbelievable! Totally unprofessional! Enough said.
