How Many Frogs Must You Kiss To Find A Prince?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage South

Our sweet puppy, Lady B (okay, she may be a little past her puppy days, but she doesn't appreciate being reminded of that),  is as kind and gentle as any bachelorette can be.....here she is looking for her Prince Charming............on her very own patio, no less!

Kissy-Kissy!

Lady B and her Frog Prince

Gosh, I hate to distract from the romance, but a few minutes after this tender moment was captured, froggie was nowhere to be found.  My husband, Mike,  is checking Lady B to see if she tests positive for Frog Breath (he's watched way too many episodes of CSI)  Not sure what his methods are, but I'm not kissing him just in case)!  eeeuuuuwwwww!

Here in Arizona there is a type of toads that is is quite dangerous for a dog to sniff, lick, touch. There are many dogs we have heard reports of them being hospitalized.

Brenda:  I haven't seen her playing with frogs before.  I'm surprised I got that picture.  My husband called me to come see and it was so dark all I could see was Lady B playing with something in the yard.  I ran in and got my camera and tried to take a few and just got lucky that I caught them on the patio.

Bob & Carolin:  I really believe the frog hopped away to freedom!  But, I checked Lady B this morning to make sure, and she seems to be her usual self.

ewww.  We have had all these new froggies born with all the rain and flooding and of late I have seen my Derby girl out there looking like she is having a snack. YUCK.  I love my dogs but they do have some moments... cute post

Ann, very cute post & great picture! My Bailey found one in the yard and had it in his mouth before we could reach him. The frog secreted something and he could not spit it out fast enough! His mouth got foamy so he got an old fashion washing his mouth out with the hose.

Ann - I really like your post and if your dog ate the frog, it might be a better diet and full of vitamins. Very creative blogging. I do think that is a Toad and not a frog, sorry! I hope your dog doesn't get warts, (just kidding)!

Shannon:  Dogs can do some really gross stuff sometimes.

Lara:  Poor Bailey, maybe he will think twice next time?

Robert:  I think you are right, looks more toady to me too.

Ann:  I like to think the prince got away.

Russel:  Yes, I don't think the prince was having as much fun playing as she was and hopped to safety.

Cheryl:  There was no evidence........I like to think the little fella hopped away.  Lady B probably just wanted to play with it.

Rebecca:    You should have seen me out there in the dark like a nut, snapping away and hoping.  I actually wound up with several funny pictures, but until that flash went off I had no idea what I was photographing.  Definitely luck and not skill!

Ann,

I do not think your dog would eat a frog or toad.

I remember our basset hound swallowing a toad when I was a kid... or I think it was a toad not a frog... it was gone so quick.

You were lucky to have the camera handy. My Schnauzers have been nose to nose with a few frogs and kids in what would have been priceless photos, but the camera is never handy. My hats off to you for catching that frog prince!
