I've got clients coming in Friday with a loaded U-HAUL, parents (to help unload) and two very young children. I was the "lucky one", I found them the house that they will rent for the next 12 months. (I was their 3rd Realtor meeting on that crazy, whirlwind house-finding trip.)
I just spoke with the wife to inquire about their arrival time. She shared that the rental truck had issues and her husband had to take it to be serviced before it was loaded...just in case that check engine light really meant something. But, on the bright side, she said it was better to have in come on in the driveway than 200 miles down the road. Interestingly, the question I had for her really needed to be answered by her husband, so I phoned him.
It really gave me a charge to hear what he had to say, and I had to share! He said that in this whole crazy relocation adventure that they had experienced the best and the worst of service and working relationships...but I was the best. If it had anything to do with the house, they knew I had it covered. I was the best!
You know, it's small things, but they really add up. We switched a showing to a more convenient time, I turned the car around when she said she failed to measure, we met for the paperwork the morning Ernesto should have pummelling the Treasure Coast (but wasn't). The office was closed as were most others, but we needed to get them where they need to be. That's my tagline or "slogan" and I live it...with all my customers, buyers, sellers, tenants, landlords.
