One of the eastside's best beaches and parks is Lydgate Park and the community is gearing up for a big day of work on National Make a Difference Day. We'll be planting trees and spreading wood chips in the playground to make it a safer place for kids. Kapaa boasts the finest park for children on the entire island of Kauai.

National Make a Difference Day will be celebrated this year in Lydgate Park on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
