Tabeguache Steak House Woodland Park Colorado

I do have to admit that when it comes to dining out in Woodland Park the really good choices are few. But, if you are headed West on Hwy. 24 take a look to your left as you pass Sonic. The restaurant sits down in a hollow right off of Hwy. 24 East. The welcoming log cabin building is home to some of the best steaks in the state.

The menu doesn't stop with steaks. Giant salads, pasta, chicken and seafood are also available. The chef only uses Ranch Foods Direct beef which is a hormone and antibiotic free beef produced in Colorado Springs by Mike Callicrate.

Fred and Gail Brocklesby own and operate the establishment. They also owned and operated the previous business which was a 50's style drive-in restaurant called "Cruisers". Fred and Gail decided to slow things down a few years ago and embraced the notion that good food is natural food and that the product is also as local as possible.

If you are in the area stop in for a glass of Colorado wine or try something less regional with your shrimp cocktail or spinach dip, or just go all out and start with the 16oz ribeye.

If you don't see it when you are driving give them a call and Fred and Gail will be happy to point you in the right direction (Almost Directly Across the road from Sonic).

Stop in and find a new treat nestled in the heart of Colorado, the city above the clouds, Woodland Park.

This is awesome! It kind of reminds me of this log home hardware store - it literally is an all-purpose hardware store built out of logs. There's just something that adds to the motif of a place to be made of wood. Great post!
