73 Days Left in this year... start breathing again.

So here we are, with 73 days left in the year. Which brings up some questions we all need to ask ourselves: ** What are YOUR goals for the next 73 days? ** Where do YOU want to be on January 2nd, 2009? ** What's YOUR plan to get there? Sure, the "credit crunch" has made everyone step back but this too will pass and will you be ready to move forward? Are you being proactive in your market or are you just going to sit back and wait? These are scary times and as I talk to agents I hear much of the same thing..... "everyone is holding their breath, waiting for things to start again". May I suggest that we all begin to exhale and start again. If you are going to sit and stay frozen for the next 73 days, then good luck but I think if you watch the top agents within your office, you will see they are still working hard. Sure, everyones phone has stopped ringing but there is still much to do if you are going to survive and prosper in the next 73 days and beyond. This is a great time to re-evaluate your business plan, your marketing plan and your goals. Since these are uncertain times, you can't just take what you had from last year and slightly adjust it. You need to start from scratch, keeping some of the things that you know work and build upon that. There are lots of good ideas and resources from top agents around Active Rain and within your circle of associates. Ask questions, evaluate new ideas and build your plan. Lastly, don't just sit back frozen from the headlines, get moving. There are homes to sell and buyers who need good agents. Make your plan and work your plan. I agree that it seems everyone is holding their collective breaths.  I think people are waiting to see what's going to happen after the election.

Take care.

Ahh yes. It is business plan time again. Also a great time for a real estate continuing education class.

Be the best you can...

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC".

Best regards.

I know a lot of people who beg to differ but a down economy is the perfect time to start up a new business. Costs are often down and this way you get the word out so when t's up again your already on top and not chasing it. Sort of like how we tell our buyers to buy when it's down.
