I got a good laugh out of this!  Another REALTOR and I are in the middle of a deal on one of my short sale properties, She is absolutely the most fun Agent I have worked with in a year and a half.  We just connected, you know what I mean?  Well, the other day she asked if I knew some of the other REALTORS are watching me, and in my innocence I asked why?  Are they wanting to recruit me?  NO!  They are watching to see if I am closing any of the short sale properties, so they know whether or not to jump into the market...busted my balloon!  I got a big kick out of it, especially because they can do a search in our MLS and see what I have closed!  Three short sales closed this week and another will close next.  SHHHHHH! Don't tell anyone!

LOL, Evelyn. I'm finding agents who in the past would turn up their noses at short sales are now begging other agents to teach them how to do it. One asked an agent to split the commission on her new listings so that agent could train her. The agent asked me if she should do it. My advice was tell that agent to go to a seminar, ha, ha. This woman has spent 3 years refining her skills as a short sale negotiator. You don't "give" that experience away for a mere 50% of commission. Agents who don't jump on the short-sale bandwagon may as well start flipping hamburgers.
