Tomorrow my youngest brother-in-law is getting married, so my husband and I packed up the two kids and flew across the country from California to Pennsylvania.
We got through the travel without too much hassle. We had barely reached security when my husband realized he hadn't left his pocket tool at home. So, after talking to security, he left line while I juggled the two kids and went to try to leave it in lost and found as we can no longer mail items from security.
While he was off working on that, I took the kids to the gate and had to switch our first flight from Chicago to Dallas because the Chicago flight was late, and we would have missed our connection. So, truck the kids back to the other side of the terminal and finally catch up with my husband who discovered there was nowhere to leave his tool and wound up giving it to a local sheriff.
My five year old is so excited to travel, it almost makes you forget the frustrations of traveling. And, my little one was so full of wonder as the plane took off and landed that you remember not to take life for granted.
We finally arrived in Pennsylvania, and I thought we'd made it.
However, I've realized over the last two days that having a 10 month old and a three hour time change do not go well together.
My little guy loves his schedule and is not pleased though his older brother is thriving on new things to discover and lot of family to visit.
We'll be home again soon. In the meantime, we'll enjoy the adventure.
