The Wall Street Rich just Keep getting Paid

By

Hello all

I have been watching this sham unfold on the news each morning. Its getting to the point that I am watching old reruns while I do my one mile on the treadmill

How can these guys go on and keep ripping off the American people.

Its because we let them. Its because they pay the decision makers more than we do.

Here is a Video of a Fired up Congress member from Ohio, she certainly pulls no punches at all.

Look at the campiagns that just finished. ANother year of people spending ten times as

much to get an office as the job pays....

When the Pres of AIG is listed as a billionare on the Forbes 500, one of the richest men in America

you have to say why is he making so much money when his company is not. Did you see that running Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae into the ground is worth over 10 million a year in salaries..Each!!!

Oh well,, the bailout should only go to the bigshots, because in America there is no one else thatwould stand up and take thier places right?? WIth all the guys and gals laid off after Bear Stearns, and others, is there no one willing to come in take a shot at doing a good job of investing/managing money. I say quit bailing these guys out, just let the real market take care of itself.

Funny how Toyota and Honda can come here, build plants, and make money. Funny how the rest of us on Main Street USA have to make it or break it on what we produce, or we have to close....where is our bailout????

Man she told them didn't she and I agree with everything she said.  That goes right along with the fact that the oil companies were making record profits and the little guy was getting killed by the gas prices.  Frustrating!

As I understand it, the reason why people will pay millions of dollars to get a job that pays $200,000 is because when they retire, get voted out of office, or whatever, they get to keep all the leftover money in their campaign war chest. They should be required to give it back to the donors or give it to the city, county, state, or federal government.

I believe it was Phil Gramm from Texas who spent 12 years in the Senate and "retired" with $64 million in leftover campaign money. Nice!

The other is power and ego. Blagojevich is a great example, and even if one is kicked out of power because of criminal or ethics issues -- Roger Hedgecock, former mayor of San Diego; Tom Delay; Newt Gingrich, etc. -- they can get a very lucrative job as an announcer, political analyst, etc.

I believe there's something seriously wrong with the institution, but I'm not the one to fix it. Apparently, neither is anyone else.

Best wishes for health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in 2009.
