November 28 Ride the "Holiday Express" with STS What is the Holiday Express? This holiday season (starting on Black Friday - November 28th) all passengers riding any of our "Fixed Route" buses can ride anywhere, any bus, all day long, for only one dollar ($1.00). Possibilities are endless! What are the "Ride the Holiday Express with STS" dates? Friday, November 28th; Friday, December 5th; Friday, December 12th; and Friday, December 19th. How does it work? When first boarding one of our STS "fixed route" buses - all fare paying passengers and Senior Citizen riders will be handed a ticket. Fare paying passengers will pay only $1.00 for their fare and Senior Citizens just need to show their pass in order to receive their ticket as usual. All passengers must then complete the stub portion of the ticket by filling in his/her name; address and phone number. The stubs will then be collected by our drivers. Three prizes will be awarded for each Friday ride. Every time passengers ride any bus that day - this ticket must be shown to the driver in order to receive the special rate fare. When will the prizes be drawn for the "Ride the Holiday Express with STS"? Prizes will be drawn each Monday morning following the previous Friday's event. Drawings will be held LIVE - on the air - in the studio of MAGIC 105.5. at approximately 9:10 a.m. Dates for the LIVE broadcasts will be: Monday, December 1st; Monday, December 8th; Monday, December 15th and the last broadcast will be held on Monday, December 22nd. November 29 - 30 Schuylkill Holiday Gala Saturday November 29 from 4 - 8 pm and Sunday November 30 from 2 - 8 pm, at the Pottsville Masonic Center, 4 South 2nd Street, Pottsville. There will be 25 Christmas Trees on display on the 5th floor social hall, donated by local tree growers and sponsored by local businesses. They will be decorated by local non-profit organizations. When the Gala is ended, these trees will be given to needy families in Schuylkill County who would not otherwise be able to purchase and decorate a Christmas Tree for their families. Also, on the 5th floor will be local craft vendors selling Christmas Crafts along with homemade food and beverages.
