One thing I think we all can agree on is that every professional utilizes the tools of their trade to effectively execute their plan of success. For example an Auto Technician has three types of tools. There's the basic hand tools like wrenches and screw drivers. Then there's the The power tools like air tools and and drills. And then there's specialty tools like valve spring compressors. A good Technician knows how to work a wrench and he can fix a car. But a master Technician can utilize hand tools and power tools to fix the same car more efficiently. A Master Technician also gets the big bucks for knowing how to effectively use the specialty tools.
Where do you see your self on the professional agent scale? Are you a master Realtor? As for me I have not yet attained that goal but I am well on my way. One thing that really helped me was going mobile. My BlackJackII PDA is like my best friend. I can speak to a client, note an appointment in my schedule, check the MLS, and check my emails all in the palm of my hand. Praise Jesus for technology.
Not having to be in front of a computer to accomplish tasks that normally require one gives me more time especially on those days when there is no way I'm going to see the office and home isn't an option either. The best part about my PDA is that it runs Windows so at the end of the day I come home sync with my computer and use my outlook to organize my contacts and appointments. If You don't have a PDA you really need to get one.
There Are a number of different types of PDA's with all the major wireless carriers. If you don't have a contract now is a good time to get one.
