Well, since our whole entire family came down with a nasty strain of Flu and I was up taking care of everyone. ( while sick) for the last week I did not get registered for the Seattle Marathon 1/2 marathon event and was not even sure I would be well enough for it.

However I was feeling well enough and so were the kids that I could get up and go before 6am this morning.  It was a really beautiful day to be out.  I did the first 2 miles before I got to Wapato park, and then another 15 times around the lake once I got there and then 1.3 home again.  Pretty uneventful.  Very nice, brought water for the first time which doubled as arm exercizes the last 3 times around the lake.  No knee problems today, but since I've been sick, walked more than usual.

Got there a bit too early, ( before it was light)  misjudged the dawn a bit, I went around the lake 3 times in the almost dark, which was in some ways nice since I had the park mostly to myself and did not have to deal with people with other dogs until my 4th or 5th time around the lake.

No rain at all today, just sun and wind. ( made me wish I had brought a pony tail holder)  My feet did better than the 10 miles last weekend with cotton socks.  ( last night I spent 2 hours mating socks and found several pairs of my Asics sythetic socks and also over 100 others belonging to assorted family members)

Did have to wait until the 9th time around ( and my 11th mile) to have the staff open the bathroom and when I came by @ that point they were cleaning, so I did one more time around before using them.  ( it is nice, they are always really clean there even though it is a park)  At that point I thought it would be safe to drink water again and really appreciated it alot, but really appreciated the bathroom stop even more.  ( First time Chip has taken more stops than me @ this point  him 4 to me 1, good thing I brought old plastics sacks in quanitiy!)

Any way a really really nice day to be out side, no spectacular sun rise or anything, just temparate and really nice day.  Glad I got to go!

Well, just after this I got pneumonia and had to stop training, I was also @ the time in my first trimester of being pregnant.....needed extra rest that getting up that early did not fit with.....so looking to start over with training ( walking to start with since I will be wearing a baby)  I think I will start again when after baby is born.
