Getting accurate home value information online can be a daunting task.  Places like Zillow for example provide an easy to use system that by all means is a convenient consumer service, but they’re consistently off the mark.  In most cases in either direction by $20,000 give or take some. 

Often times, agents will provide a market report, but this can just be generalized information.  For instance, if you live in Sherwood Oregon and are thinking of selling your home, you might be looking at a report that covers total homes sold, the average selling price, average dollar per square foot, days on market, current number of listings for sale, and your local median home price.
