Life If Nothing Else Is This Great Big Puzzle

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Putting Puzzle TogetherWith the downturn in the economy in so many areas it does give Realtors and consumers more time for reflection. One thing I have noted with experiences and especially the randomness of people that bump into you in life, is that you can LEARN from all of it.

Life If Nothing Else Is This Great Big Puzzle.

I want to focus on the people in your life. Some bump into you momentarily, some a little longer, and if you find some good ones they stick around for a long time. It is disappointing of course when ones that are good for you DON'T stick around either by their choice, moving away, or losing touch but that is just a sting we have to live with.

The point about people and your puzzle fitting is one to take note of.

I wrote a post a long time back about people being like mirrors in your life. Those mirrors make you the student with others and what they reveal to you about who you are. You can accept it fully, partially, or reject what they teach you. But in the end you need to grab that puzzle piece and put it on the board. It is a constant process of assembling who you are. Your values, your direction you are heading (status quo or new direction), your likes and dislikes, and just plain old what makes you happy are what the pieces are telling you. Anyone that says they have it all together is either on their deathbed or delusional. We are always getting another puzzle piece to understand ourselves.

The point is PAY ATTENTION to all people you encounter, no matter how brief an encounter or their status level in your life.

ALWAYS BE THE STUDENT. It is the way you learn.

Gary, your mind is a continual amazement! Yes, I agree with all that you said but have never thought of it as assembling a puzzle. Thank you again.

Great post as usualy Gary.  Its always a little painful to have a good friend move away.  Distance can make it difficult to stay in touch.  The internet helps.

Hi Pat: Yes I have now turned into a woman in being a fickle one. That YouTube on the Hard Headed Woman looked like 1950's vintage. You are reaching way back now. Being good at patience for me is impossible. Better at patience is the best I can achieve. I'll let angel Gail know you sorta like her.

Maria: If we only could get more of the pieces sooner to figure it all out.

Justin: The good ones moving away I have found it is never quite the same.

Sally: I know you are always growing getting better each day.

Gary...as always, a great post. I had a poem once about Friends and Seasons...or something like that. If I can find it, I'll do a post about it. It's so true!

Thom and Ray: I think that is friends are either there for a reason, season or lifetime and when you know which then you know what to do with them.

Toula: We can learn each day. True.

Sharon Lee: From a master puzzle person, you are putting all your pieces together.

Arina: I sometimes think I have the wrong puzzle pieces for my puzzle LOL. It is a challenge some days to learn what is going on.

Lee & Pamela: From It's a Wonderful Life it emphasizes how each of us impacts the other. So true!!

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

I learn something new every day. Of course, I might forget it tomorrow, LOL. But seriously, I believe we should all be open to new information. We don't know it all. It's impossible. As the world changes and evolves, we must change and evolve with it. Why, yesterday I learned that if you water your lawn for 5 minutes a day every three days in the winter (Sacramento), you won't get that brown thatch under the grass come spring.

Gary-This reminds me of your other post where you used the movie Forest Gump as a means to get your point across. This one also could relate back to that movie. "LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL GET".

Good post...

Once again you are spot on!  I always try to remember that life is a journey, not a destination. It is not about rushing to get there, but enjoying every moment along the way.  Experiencing it, learning from it...  Not always easy to do, but I try :)    And your posts always help me stay focused!  THANKS!  Happy holidays!

Gary,

Your post reminds me of the Chinese saying: "When the student is ready, the teacher will come". We never know what lessons the people we encounter have to teach us.
