Is anybody out there excited about the NFL draft taking place this weekend? Okay, show of hands... how many of you even knew that the NFL draft was this weekend? I'm guessing it's mostly the men... stereotypically speaking.
So I was laying in bed this morning thinking about how anxious all the prospective players must be and how they've worked hard throughout most of their lives for this chance to play professional football and thought - huh, they're kind of like free agents......... home buyers and sellers are kind of like free agents too. They've worked a good portion of their lives for their homes and now are looking to sell the one they are in or looking to purchase a new home. And aren't we as Realtors lucky to work here in Denver, Colorado helping people buy and sell homes? One of the most beautiful places on the planet with so much to offer.
We're like the top team in the draft. We want our business team to be the most sought after team in the draft. We want all the good players on our team - that includes our agents as well as buyers and sellers in the Denver Metro area. So all this talk of football leads me to this topic and our tip for the week: FOOD!! Who doesn't love good food with football on the big screen?
Tip: Cut up all your favorite fruit; cantaloup, strawberries, raspberries, honey dew, grapes, apples, anything you like. Then make a dip with either fat free sour cream and brown sugar (mix it up then stick it in the fridge to set - use as much or as little brown sugar as you want) OR get some cream cheese and let it sit out until it gets soft and mix it up with a little vanilla, and some cool whip. You can get really crazy with this one and add cheesecake flavored pudding. It's excellent.
