Located high above the scenic view in Mason County and just below the grand Olympic mountains is the Steel Bridge. Known for its high location and interesting architecture, photographers flock to this sight to get their own picture, and some stories to take home as well.
Constructed by the Simpson Timber company in 1929 it was the only way to access the timber out of the steep and rugged location. It is one of only two bridges like it in the state of Washington.The Steel Bridge rest in what feels like mid air at a height of 420 feet above the Craggie surface below.
