Paulsboro, Gloucester CountyIn a time when employment opportunities are  scarce, there might be some much welcomed hope for South Jersey and the Delaware Valley region. Paulsboro, a small town in Gloucester County, known mostly for its oil refineries, high school football and wrestling teams, is in the midst of creating a $250 million dollar port on the Delaware River.

One article states that the project is expected to generate as many as 20,000 jobs regionwide, including 2,500 jobs directly related to the port and 800 construction jobs.

WOW.

Steve - very interesting indeed !  Are there investment properties there as well ?  Or primarily best for owner occupants ?  Great info.

Chris - There are definately investment oppurtunities. Paulsboro ranges from a below $100k per single-family or two-unit, to maybe mid $200's. Not many homes are going to be above $200k. I grew up in Paulsboro and there are many very nice areas. The Billingsport area has a nice "grid" layout of blocks and homes that are mostly unique. Very few "cookie cutter" homes.  Paulsboro is basically across the river from the Philly Airport.
