Porpoising orcas by Minette Layne.

I love this picture. I wish I could claim it as mine. When I had my chance to get awesome pictures of Orcas in Hood canal my camera would only take the shot after they were once again under water. I have terrific shots of splashing and even better ones of fins heading below the waters surface. If you want to see these amazing creatures in real life just head to Hood Canal in Mason County.I have found the best time to be between October and December.

Dinah - What a treat to see Orcas in the wild. In Florida we get to see sea turtles and dolphins in the wild.

That is soo cool to see.  We just see dolphins over here at Myrtle Beach South Carolina.  The tourist freak out of the water thinking they are sharks.
